Looking for a good workshop on Writing Compelling Historical Fiction?

I’m happy to tell you about two.

The first, as explained further at https://www.writer.org/event/wisp22fic8b/, will meet at The Writer’s Center in Bethesda, Maryland, for two hours every Saturday morning from February 5-March 12. I participated in a great mystery-writing workshop at the Center about 25 years ago and greatly look forward to the opportunity to pay my debt forward.

The other, sponsored by the Arlington Community Learning Program and available only to Arlington residents, will meet for two hours on Thursday evenings from February 10-24. You can get more details at Using D.C. Area Research Resources to Write Compelling Historical Fiction and Non-Fiction – 22WCE259 (arlingtonadulted.org).

Please share this post with anyone you think would be interested in how to do in-depth online and in-person research at the wide variety of unique resources in the DC area — and it really doesn’t matter if they want to write fiction or non-fiction or even write at all; the research tools the workshop will focus on can be used for any purpose they’re interested in.

And finally, rest assured, Jake Katz and Tom Wallace will be returning as soon as conditions permit all of us to gather in person at book clubs, book festivals, and elsewhere in public again. I will keep you posted, you have my word:).
