On The Road: The Jake Katz Book Tour

The Jake Katz book tour kicked off with two events in early October. On October 1, Dave Tevelin’s reading was the inaugural event of the Monroe Condominium’s Library Committee in Arlington, Virginia. Dave read an excerpt from Death At The Howard and heard the vivid memories of several audience members who lived in Washington during the riots that followed the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King.

On October 7, the tour stopped at The Tradition independent living community in West Palm Beach, Florida. Dave read from Siege Of The Capital and led a discussion focusing on the captors’ takeover of the B’nai B’rith’s Washington headquarters, a focal point of the novel.

Coming up shortly, both books will be featured at the Northern Virginia Jewish Community Center’s 2015 Book Fest from October 29 to November 10. Dave will also be appearing at the NVJCC’s local author event at One More Page Books at 2200 N. Westmoreland St. in Arlington on November 4 at 7:00 p.m. (In the words of their flyer, “It’s like speed dating, but with authors!”) Click HERE for more information on both events.

And for you Washingtonians, Dave also has readings scheduled for two Busboys and Poets restaurants. He’ll be reading from Death At The Howard at the Shirlington Busboys (4251 Campbell Ave, Arlington) at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 18, and from Siege Of The Capital at 6:30 p.m. at their 5th and K Sts., N.W. location on Sunday, December 6. Both events are free, and you are invited to eat and drink their fine fare before, during, and after the talk.

Other stops on the tour will be announced here first, so check back for updates. We hope to see you in the audience down the road!
